Pre-wedding Photography Session London

One of the things I love about my job, is that it’s so varied. I might spend one week photographing weddings in Israel, and then head back for a pre-wedding photography session London, before heading over to an engagement photography shoot in Oxford.
A pre-wedding photoshoot gives you the chance to get used to the camera. On your wedding day, it won’t just be me pointing a camera at you. You’ll find every guest gets a little snap happy, and you’ll probably spend most of the day being photographed. A pre-wedding shoot is the perfect opportunity to practice your best smile, work out which is your most photogenic side, and try out different poses for the camera.
It’s also a great opportunity to get better acquainted with your wedding photographer. As your photographer, it’s my job to know what style of photography you love, and to fill a wedding album with it. A pre-wedding shoot gives me the chance to work this out. We will spend some time discussing styles, set ups and locations, and then I’ll get started taking photos.
Your wedding venue probably offers a variety of breath-taking backdrops for wedding photos, but a pre-wedding photoshoot can allow a little more exploration. We can visit the location of your first date, your favourite cafe, or your home - anywhere you want. You won’t have the same level of freedom on your wedding day, because you’ll need to stay close to your venue. So if you’ve always wanted an artistic shot of the two of you re-enacting your first kiss, this is your chance.
You may not have had your photograph taken professionally since your last high school photograph. Now that the braces are off, and the crimpers are safely stored away in the history books, it’s the perfect time to have another shot with a professional photographer. You will end up with an album filled with beautiful photographs of the two of you on your wedding day, but a pre-wedding photography session will leave you with some equally beautiful but less formal shots of you together. If the only photographs you have of the two of you are selfies taken on days out, a pre-wedding photoshoot can fill this void by providing you with some lovely photographs of the two of you as a couple.

As you can see from the photographs, pre-wedding photography sessions vary from couple to couple. I have travelled across London on pre-wedding photography sessions, taking photographs of couples in the beautiful locations the city has to offer.
One of my favourite artistic shots shows a couple on London’s book barge. The photograph is taken through the window of the barge, so the couple are framed by the barge. The window is off-centre giving the photograph an artistic feel. The couple look as though they’re about to kiss, sharing a private moment when caught on film.
One of my favourite posed shots shows a couple enjoying a dramatic embrace. As we walked around London looking for the perfect place to shoot, we stumbled across a film set. The couple kissed in a swept-off-your-feet sort of a way under the lights of the film set as I photographed them.
One of my favourite candid shots shows a couple chatting. We walked over to the Houses of Parliament because the couple wanted to get some shots in front of the iconic building. As they chatted, I snuck off and took a few photographs of them. The photograph is framed by the brickwork of the walkway, and the Houses of Parliament can be seen in the background behind the couple who are laughing and smiling together.

One couple wanted to relive their first date, so they took me to the pub where they first met. The couple sat together on the very table where they shared their first date, and chatted about their memories of that fateful day, as I photographed them from outside. It’s a great photograph, and will always remind them not only of the first time they met, but also of how excited they were to be getting married when we did the shoot.
